A supplier portal in a PIM system was not a permanent part years ago, but it is becoming increasingly important. Working efficiently also means that suppliers themselves can offer, adapt and enrich their data in a customer's system. Not only product-related matters can be adjusted in a supplier environment, but also information that would otherwise have been passed on by post or telephone. The PIM purists will also say that this function does not belong in a PIM system, but users and suppliers seem to think otherwise more and more.
